Why Pura Vida Sober Retreat?

Rachel, founder of Flying Sober, discovered early on in her sobriety, while working as a tour guide, that she had been granted a second chance to see the world through a very different set of eyes, and was deeply moved by it. Why she started these sober retreats.

She has stumbled upon  “Pura Vida Retreat & Spa” while traveling across Costa Rica and found it to be wonderful healing grounds unlike any other, a true hidden gem in the center of a mountain range with breathtaking views of San Jose valley.

Whether you are new to sobriety or have been sober for a while, this is your opportunity to take your sobriety to a new level. Immerse yourself in nature and develop relationships with those who are on the same path. The perfect place to Relax, Restore, and Let Go!

Is my flight included?

No, you need to make your own flight arrangements. You can decide whether to arrive earlier or stay longer to explore more of the country. We advise buying your tickets in advance in order to get the best discounts and flight insurance in case of a cancelation or an emergency (see below).

Yes, please check your expiration date on your passport. If you don’t already have one, we suggest you to begin the process. Look up nearest locations for USPS passport services. It can take up to 3 months.

Do I need a Visa?

US nationals do not require an entry visa to Costa Rica. However, they must have a current valid passport and a return ticket to exit Costa Rica within 90 days (Either to return to your country or to go to another country).
